Fine Jewelry Auction Racks Up $4.2 Million In Sales

A fancy colored diamond pendant necklace sold for $434,000 at the Bonhams Fine
Jewelry auction in New York City on Dec. 15. The 25.56-ct.
cut-cornered square modified brilliant-cut yellow diamond necklace was the auction’s top
sale.
 
The auction—which was simulcast between New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco—brought in a total of $4.2 million in sales and featured an
assortment of diamonds, period, and modern jewelry.
 
Another highlight: a diamond three-stone ring with a 7.01-ct. center stone, which went for $218,000.
