Fashion models and others in fashion industry are coming together to support tsunami victims in a fundraiser called, “Fashion Bowl.” The family event, which will include bowling, arcade games, food, raffles, silent auction, and a wellness center for massages, will be held Feb. 5 at Leisure Time Bowl in New York City.
The event is being established by an organization called, “Model Citizen,” an organizing committee started by fashion publicist Amber Clapp and supermodels Amber Valletta, Shalom Harlow, and Kirsty Hume in 1999 to use their celebrity status to fundraise on behalf of charitable organizations.
To help with their efforts they have called upon other supermodels and fashionistas, including Gisele Bundchen, Sophie Dahl, Angela Lindvall, Daria Werbowy, Karen Elson, Helena Christensen, Frankie Rayder, Donna Karan, Gabby Karan DeFelice, David Yurman, Tabitha Simmons & Craig McDean, Amanda Cutter, Tinsley Mortimer, Lauren Davis, Donovan Leitch, Katie Mossman, Gucci Westman, Carol Alt, Serge Normant, Harry Josh, Federico Castelluccio, Sante D’Orazio, and Amanda de Cadenet.
Fashion Bowl is billed as a family event be a family event featuring bowling, arcade games, food, raffles, silent auction and a wellness center for massages provided by Cornerstone Healing with all funds raised going to rebuilding and assisting children affected by the Tsunami.
Funds raised by Fashion Bowl will be distributed among Habitat for Humanity, International Justice Mission, and Amritapuri.
Attendees are also being encouraged to bring a stuffed animal for children in hospitals, refugee camps, and/or orphanages.
Minimum entry donation is $25.00 per person.
In addition to entry, Model Citizen is looking for individuals and organizations to sponsor the event. Sponsorships can be purchased as follws:
* Full Day title/Platinum sponsor $10,000
* Half Day Gold sponsor $5,000
* Quarter Day Silver sponsor $2,500
