Falls Jewelers Wins Edge Retail Academy Award

Jewelry advisory company the Edge Retail Academy (ERA) announced that Sam and Jane Falls of Falls Jewelers will win its third annual William (Wag) Wagner Business Excellence Award.

Concord, N.C.–based Falls Jewelers was founded in 1990.

“The Falls are very focused on diligently reviewing business metrics and applying best practices to make meaningful improvements to their store’s financial health,” said ERA president David Brown in a statement. “In 2020, this focus paid off: Falls Jewelers increased sales by 24% and raised gross profit by 28%, while reducing their aged inventory by 20%.”

The Edge Retail Academy’s William (Wag) Wagner Business Excellence Award is named after one of the company’s long-serving business advisors, who died in September 2018. The award was instituted in 2019.

In 2020, two-store Michigan jeweler Rottermond Jewelers won the award, which comes with a $1,000 check.
