Face Time With Audemars Piguet at the 2013 Tony Awards

As one of the official partners of the Tony Awards, luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet was all around the theatrical celebration on Sunday, June 9, from the green room to the red carpet.

Backstage at Radio City Music Hall—home of the 67th annual ceremony—a dozen of the Swiss brand’s timepieces, plus an oversize Audemars clock, decorated the green room. Celebrity presenters—including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and boxer/Broadway newbie Mike Tyson—dropped by to sign the clock; and if they let the Tonys tweet their pic, Audemars donated $1,500 to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The night’s total donation on behalf of the stars: $30,000.

Audemars Piguet and BC/EFA also lined the red carpet with aluminum wall clocks representing the 2012–13 Best Musical and Best Musical Revival nominees: Bring It On: The Musical; A Christmas Story, the Musical; Kinky Boots (Best Musical winner); Matilda; Annie; The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Pippin (Best Revival winner); and Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Those eight clocks—plus a ninth, signed by actors at May’s Meet the Tony Nominees reception—are up for auction through June 24 at charitybuzz.com.
