evelynH. Jewelry’s Squared ring was honored with the “Red Dot: Jewelry Product Design 2010 Award.” The award-winning ring has intertwined metal pieces, which shift slightly with movement of the hand.
This year, designers and companies from 57 nations entered over 4,250 products in the competition. The original design incorporates 18k yellow gold and sterling silver. Customized special editions will be available in yellow, white and rose gold, and with colorless diamonds, yellow and pink diamonds. The dimensions are approximately 1.25 cubic inches. The retail price ranges from $2,800-$18,800 depending on the design. The ring will be displayed in a four-week special exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum from July 6th to August 1st.
An awards presentation for all the design winners will be held on July 5th at the Aalto-Theather opera house in Essen, Germany.
