Manteca, Calif.,
jeweler Evelyn Allen died June 22 at age 102.
She and her husband, Boyd, opened Allen Jewelry in downtown Manteca in 1945 and
moved the business to a new building in 1959. She sold the store in 1988, at
the age of 80, and retired.
Allen is survived by a son, Robert Evans Allen, a granddaughter, Harriet Brooks
Blymiller, two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
