Students and recent grads from five countries and four continents entered the 2014 Emerging Artist Awards from College Corner, Ohio–based ethical jewelry and metalsmithing advocacy organization Ethical Metalsmiths.
The 2014 Emerging Artist Award sponsored by Richline came with a $1,000 reward and was given to Joshua Kosker of Bowling Green, Ohio. Finalists include Hayley Beckley of Melbourne, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, who took home $250 courtesy of sponsor Rio Grande, and Jessica Andersen of Audubon, Iowa, who earned $100 courtesy of sponsor No Dirty Gold. Award recipients also receive one year of free website hosting and support from Jewelspan.
Thirteen artists were chosen for the So Fresh + So Clean exhibition of pieces.
