Succession Capital, a division of Lynx Equity, has purchased H.J. Sherman Co., a religious jewelry manufacturer that has been family owned since 1948.
The company is the 10th acquisition this year by Succession, which is focused on acquiring “small to medium-size businesses throughout Canada and the United States from owners looking to retire,” it said. The fund now owns 35 companies, including JewelPop.
“H.J. Sherman is a household name in the religious gifts industry. That takes decades to build, and they’ve done it the right way…. Expect that to continue,” said Succession’s managing partner Nathaniel Broughton in a statement.
