Katharina Henckel von Donnersmarck. The $12.76 million sale also set auction
records for a piece of emerald jewelry.

The auction totaled over $89 million in sales.

Also doing well was a 10.99 ct.
fancy intense pink diamond
, which sold for $10.8 million. That is the third highest price ever for a pink diamond, and the ninth highest price for a diamond ever at auction.
