May is finally here! Now is the time of year when summer really starts to kick in; and more important, this is the month for JCK Las Vegas. But I can’t mention May without thinking of its birthstone, emerald. As a May baby, I got so many emeralds over the years that they started to feel really stale. I didn’t care if ever got another one of the dark green stones again. One trip through the emerald selection on JCK Marketplace, however, and my love for emeralds is renewed! No stone is more regal, more rich, more worthy of such incredible designs. Take a look at five pieces from JCK Marketplace that have me wishing I could be gifted with emeralds once again (I think you’ll love them, too).
ABC Gems Baroque Drops
Drop earrings from ABC Gems feature baroque emeralds that hang freely in oval frames of 0.76 ct. t.w. diamonds. The baroque element adds a perfectly imperfect twist to these otherwise formal jewels.
Gumuchian’s Tassel Necklace
This tassel necklace from Gumuchian pairs contrasting onyx and emerald and throws in some diamond accents, just in case it didn’t stand out enough already! The dramatic style showcases the rich color of the emeralds.
Spark Creations’ Emerald Ring
Four emeralds are arranged in a clover-like cluster, accented with 0.27 ct. t.w. diamonds. The simple design of Spark Creations‘ ring lets the brilliant emeralds take center stage.
Oscar Heyman’s Opal Necklace
The luminous opals may be the star of the show in this necklace from Oscar Heyman, but they get their boost of color from the accompanying emerald beads that make up the piece. I can’t see ever receiving something like this for my birthday, but a girl can certainly dream.
Royal India’s Emerald Slices
I see more and more diamond and gemstone slice jewelry on Marketplace, and I can’t get enough. These earrings from Royal India are especially brilliant thanks to the bright hue of the emerald slices and the pavé diamond borders.
