Ellie Lee Nourishes Our Love for Autumn With Seed Packet Charms

Share

Pumpkins, apples, sunflowers, corn, and pears—five harvests that autumn wouldn’t be the same without. For fall fanatics, gardeners, and food enthusiasts alike, Ellie Lee has captured this quintet of nature’s treasures in gold, perfect for a necklace or charm bracelet.

This season’s additions to the designer’s Golden Seed Packet series are here for a limited time: They made their debut on Oct. 6 and are available by order only through Oct. 27—as fleeting as harvest season. Each mini envelope is crafted in matte 14k yellow gold with polished detail (the pumpkin packet is also available in rose gold) and costs $710.

“The Golden Seed Packet collection began with the idea of capturing meaning inside miniature gold envelopes, each one holding something that grows, transforms, and carries a story over time,” says Lee. “The fall harvest edition came from my love of that short season that always feels full and familiar. Each charm reflects warmth, gratitude, and a connection to nature. On the back flap there is a tiny moon, a small detail inspired by the harvest moon that celebrates the timing of this special edition.”

Lee’s fall seed packet charms make a great gift or self-purchase for people into gardening—a hobby that has taken off, particularly among younger consumers. A number of factors might contribute to gardening’s rising popularity: It’s a holdover from the pandemic era’s “modern homesteading” craze, an activity that promotes promote mindfulness and wellness, a way to practice self-reliant living, and technological advances have made indoor and urban gardening more successful.

But Lee’s charms have symbolic meaning that any jewelry wearer can appreciate, gardener or not. The pear represents sweetness and tender love; the sunflower, a quiet, resilient strength; and the apple, knowledge and curiosity. The pumpkin symbolizes home, and the warmth and nourishment it provides, while corn is a symbol of sustenance, heritage, and resilience rooted in tradition. And the moon on the packet’s back flap represents the light of the season and serves as a reminder of cycles, endings, and new beginnings.

“I think this collection speaks to people who are drawn to meaning and story, and who find beauty in nature and the changing seasons,” says Lee. “Many of my clients choose pieces that remind them of home, family, or a moment they want to hold close. The fall collection feels especially personal, resonating with those who appreciate sentiment and quiet detail rather than trends.”
