Elle Woods Is Back, and Pink Jewelry Is the Perfect Accessory

Share

Say hello to a younger Elle Woods: Amazon Prime’s new prequel series to Legally Blonde will show how the teenage version of everyone’s favorite Harvard-trained lawyer gets through high school in the mid ’90s, confused by the Seattle grunge craze, and learns to fully embrace her pink-loving self.

With today’s premiere of Elle, there’s likely to be a revival of interest in the title character—iconically portrayed in the movie franchise by Reese Witherspoon and now by actress Lexi Minetree. (Witherspoon, who has said she is considering doing a third Legally Blonde film, is one of Elle’s executive producers.)

Minetree takes her turn with the “fish out of water” trope that was so well played by Witherspoon. Whether it’s Elle’s reaction to Nirvana or her attempt to conquer plaid, the teen in your house or the teen still alive in your soul should find something amusing in Elle.

To pay homage to Elle Woods and her love of all things pink, JCK has rounded up some appropriately colored jewels. Bend and snap forever!
