Elizabeth Taylor’s Bulgari Serpenti Watch to Be Auctioned by Dreweatts & Bloomsbury

London auction house Dreweatts & Bloomsbury will auction a Bulgari Serpenti watch owned by Elizabeth Taylor as part of its Iconic Jewels auction on Nov. 27.

Taylor was photographed wearing the turquoise and white enamel watch in 1962 on the set of Cleopatra. It is estimated at $32,000–$48,000.

“The history of the selling prices at auction for these watches illustrates how the demand for iconic jewels has risen in the past 25 years—and how they can be a rewarding alternative investment as well as something wonderful to own and wear,” said James Nicholson, international head of jewelry and watches at Dreweatts & Bloomsbury.

Other notable jewels in the auction:

• A 30 ct. sapphire and diamond ring by Jean Schlumberger (estimated at $32,000–$48,000)

• A 71 ct. aquamarine ring by Seaman Schepps (estimated at $8,000–$13,000)
