JCPenney will be installing “findmore” kiosks in more than 120 stores.
The digital 42-inch touch-screen fixtures connect store users
to jcp.com and 250,000 online products.
The kiosks will allow customers to check availability of
merchandise in-store or at nearby stores, e-mail images and information about
an online product to themselves or a friend, and scan the barcode of an
in-store item to learn more about the product’s features. Customers can also
utilize an online dressing room to create outfits.
In addition, JCPenney will incorporate iPads in 50 fine
jewelry departments in conjunction with the launch of Modern Bride jewelry line.
The iPads will allow associates to showcase JCPenney’s bridal fine jewelry
selections, including the variety of styles, cuts, sizes and metal options.
