Digico Holdings Ltd., through its newly formed LJOW Holdings, LLC, has finalized the acquisition of Leading Jewelers of the World, an organization leading upscale jewelers in the United States.
Leading Jewelers of the World (www.LJOTW.com) chooses jewelers that are leaders in their market and who have shown innovation, excellence, entrepreneurship, and have a reputation that is beyond reproach. Each retail member must comply with strict codes of conduct and abide by the standards and practices set forth by the association. These include regular site visits, approved personnel training, product quality, a high aesthetic standard and unique customer care marketing.
Digico, the DTC Sightholder group, which through its Gitanjali entity has developed and marketed brands such as Gili and D’damas, is now introducing brands through Leading Jewelers of the World. Jewelry Marketing Company, LLC, is Digico’s New York-based marketing arm for the independent retailer and the company that will be directly responsible for the product support of the association. JMC will develop custom brands by leveraging Digico’s strength in ideal makes, patented special cuts, and its own infrastructure of nationwide sales teams and an in-house marketing division, exclusively for the Leading Jewelers of the World members.
The association is expected to command a $l billion retail market share by 2010; from its current $250 million retail market share, the statement said. The growth will be attributed to increasing the member base from 44 to 100 and increasing the per store annual revenue from $6 million to $10 million.
