Diamond Vault, a full-service jewelry store in Sarasota, Fla., has relocated to a new 7,000-square-foot storefront to accommodate its growing business.
Owned and operated by the Chokr family since 1978, the multifaceted store features fine jewelry, repairs, custom design, and appraisals.
The relocation was spurred by increasing commerce as well as the company’s desire to provide more services to its customers. “The market has taken a lot of turns in recent years, but we have seen steady growth, especially with engagement rings,” says Michael Chokr, Diamond Vault’s senior vice president.
The new space, designed by Jesse Balaity of Balaity Property Enhancement and local architect Patrick M. Pillot, features concierge amenities, museum display cases, and a 13-foot “diamond wall,” displaying 140 loose diamonds.
One of the main highlights of the store is a jewelers’ workshop viewing area, which allows guests to watch jewelry being created and repaired. “The new store focuses on customer experience. We wanted to add contemporary features, while also adhering to tradition,” Chokr says.
