Diamond Prices Fell 8% in Last Quarter, Harry Winston Says

Harry Winston Diamond Corp. says rough diamond prices fell 8 percent since its sale in March and April.

This was because of “softened demand,” the company said.

The company is partial owner of the Diavik Diamond Mine in Canada’s Northwest Territories.

The company said for the first half of the calendar year, Diavik Diamond Mine produced 3.4 million cts. Its full-year target production remains at 8.3 million carats, as production during the second half of the year is forecast to be higher than the first.
