Delta Burke Design enters the fashion jewelry market

Delta Burke Design, founded and named after the actress best known for her role as Suzanne Sugarbaker in the television series Designing Women, has started a line of fashion jewelry to go along with her apparel line for “real size” women that she says will allow them to “express their individuality and style.”

The line is called I-Openers!! and it is part of the Delta Burke Design apparel line for women sizes 14-26W. I-Openers, a division of MJ Enterprises, is a collection of bracelets, necklaces, pendants, pins, and earrings that “provide extra room where it is needed the most,” Burke says.

“Too often women are told that of they don’t fit society’s usual model of beauty, they aren’t feminine, attractive, or even sexy,” Burke says. “Of course, this is nonsense, and I wanted to show my customers that they didn’t have to be a certain size to be feminine and pretty.”

Burke, who personally oversees all aspects of the business, creates collections that are design to fit the special needs of her customers, she says.
