The deadline for submitting entries for the ICA International Poster Competition is Dec. 31.
Sponsored by the International Colored Gemstone Association, the fifth annual competition will take place at ICA’s next congress, May 5-10, 2009, in Panyu, Guangzhou, China.
There are cash awards for the top three prizes:
* First prize, $1,500
* Second prize, $1,000
* Third prize, $500
Posters should be colorful, sized: 35-50 cm (12-20 inch) and should carry the ICA logo and official name. The logo and ICA official name can be downloaded from the ICA Web site. A written slogan can be added. All written information should be in English. However, ICA strongly encourages designers to add the slogan also in the their national language and express by that the vast interest in colored gemstone worldwide.
Participants must submit a color printout of the poster in the size of A4, along with the file on disk in one of the following formats: pdf, jpeg, eps, tif. The file should not be smaller than 36 MB and the resolution no less than 300 DPI.
The deadline for submitting posters is Dec. 31.
The color print and the file on disk should be submitted only to the Coordinator of the Organizing Committee. Contact information is as follows:
