De Beers on Monday announced the appointment Nigel Kieser as general director, De Beers Russia.
Nigel Kieser has a first class degree in Mining Geology and a PhD in Exploration Geology. He joins De Beers from Rio Tinto where his portfolio has included responsibility for the company’s exploration and business development activities in Russia.
He will be relocating to Moscow with his family in early 2007 to take responsibility for the company’s representative office.
