De Beers Head of Human Resources Resigns

Arthur Hewett, De Beers executive head of human resources, is retiring after 25 years with the company.

No replacement has been announced.

Hewett started his career at De Beers Group at Kimberly Mines in 1991, a time when working at De Beers meant a lifetime career. For the past four years, he has been a member of the De Beers Group executive committee.

In a statement, De Beers CEO Bruce Cleaver said that Hewett “helped us deliver a strong team to Gaborone as we transferred our international sales function from London and has long been a champion for building a more diverse and inclusive organization. We thank him for helping to make De Beers Group a great place to work and wish him all the very best for the future”.
