Glen T. Senk will join noted jewelry brand David Yurman as CEO, effective Feb. 27, the company announced.
Senk was most recently CEO of Urban Outfitters, the retail chain. He also served as president of Anthropologie.
Senk will take an ownership stake in David Yurman, which is privately owned and operated.
“I’ve known the Yurmans for a long time and have always admired their unique, iconic brand—one whose innovation, integrity, and vision resonate so deeply with their customer,” Senk said in a statement. “It is a company that’s grown organically, remaining authentic in every way, and I am thrilled to work with such talented pioneers to further evolve the organization and the business.”
Founders David and Sybil Yurman said in a statement that Yenk’s “arrival will allow us to truly focus on what we love doing–designing.”
David Yurman’s last CEO, Paul Blum, resigned in 2010.
