Industry veteran Thierry Chaunu has been appointed the Damiani Group’s new CEO for the Americas.
Chaunu will be responsible for Damiani Group operations in the U.S. market, as well as Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Chaunu has been in the jewelry industry for more than 25 years, beginning his career at Cartier in 1985, and rising to president of the company. He has also served as president of Christofle, president of Chopard, and COO and president of Leviev diamonds.
Chaunu’s appointment coincides with Damiani’s plans to further expand in the Americas. The company currently operates stores in Los Angeles and Honolulu and plans to open more, a release said.
“I knew that this was an incredible opportunity to blend the dynamic design and history of the legendary brand and their planned trajectory for growth with my experience in the market,” Chaunu said in a statement.
