The Women’s Jewelry Association will present the inaugural “Women in the Know” West Coast conference in Anaheim, Calif. On Saturday. Gemological Institute of America president Donna Baker will introduce the keynote speaker, Margeaux R. Cvar, chief executive officer of the Cvar Von Habsburg Group.
Cvar will talk about recognizing and identifying growth opportunities in your business. GIA is the sponsor of the keynote.
Later in the day, Kathryn Kimmel, GIA’s vice president and chief managing officer, and Nancy Brewer, a GIA Board of Governors member, will be two of five panelists participating in a “Women of Excellence” discussion. They’ll share their wisdom and experience on what it takes to succeed in the jewelry industry. This panel will be moderated by William Boyajian, GIA’s former president and current managing director of the World Jewelry Center.
