Crafford-LaserStar Reveals Winner of Raffle

Crafford-LaserStar Technologies, Corp., Riverside, R.I., announced that the winning 50/50 Raffle Ticket (No. 86) was selected June 20, by James McCarty, chief financial officer, Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America. Eric Khochatrian of Signature Jewelry, Los Angeles, claimed the winning ticket.

“I was so excited when I heard that I won, that I nearly fell out of my chair,” Kochatrian said. “I didn’t expect to win. I was just trying to help support our troops.”

The 50/50 Raffle was held during The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas. The grand prize was a 1000 Series BrightStar Compact Laser Welder, 50 Joule, 110V or 220V with beta microscope valued at $17,775.

Fifty-percent of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation to support U.S. troops.

“This cause has hit close to home for us,” said James Gervais, executive vice president of Crafford-LaserStar Technologies. “It was the Fisher House Foundation that helped our vice president of operations and his family when his son was hurt in battle over in Iraq.”

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America’s military in their time of need. The program meets humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

The 50/50 raffle resulted in an $8,400 donation which will be presented to the Fisher House Foundation. Donations from Crafford-LaserStar Technologies’ raffle will be used to help meet the cost of lodging for a family whose loved one was injured in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom.
