Condé Nast Sells Women’s Wear Daily

Condé Nast has sold century-old fashion trade publication Women’s Wear Daily to Penske Media, the newspaper reported.

Also included in the deal are fellow Fairchild Publications titles Beauty Inc, Footwear News, the Fairchild Summits, and M.

The reported sale price was $100 million.

Penske Media also owns Deadline.com and Variety.

The deal is expected to close by September 2014. Current employees will move to the new owner, except for Fairchild CEO Gina Sanders, who will stay with Condé Nast, the newspaper said.
