Kendra Bridelle revealed her inner firebug to an intimate group last night at No. 8 in lower Manhattan. Guests gathered to celebrate the debut of her new Wings of Fire collection of—you guessed it—fire-inspired jewelry made in 18k gold vermeil with crystals and some genuine stone accents. And like the mythical phoenix rising from ashes, Bridelle’s latest looks are definitely an evolution from her sweetly styled and über-feminine LusciousS jewelry line, some of which she sold exclusively through Hsn.com. The new line is more provocative, with earth tones, dramatic metalwork with piercings and sword and flame motifs that metamorphosize effortlessly from her earlier design offerings.
“This collection is a reflection of me trying to fly,” she explained. “I believe this is something that everyone can relate to. Sometimes we forget who we are or who we can be.”
There are 32 SKUs—a nod to her business partner Majid Pishyar’s firm 32Group—to date, and some styles are reversible. The retail prices range from $295 to $1,395. The collection has already been picked up by one retailer and is available for more wholesale accounts in spring 2015.
