Thank you, Belgium, for waffles (among other novelties), and thank you Patricia Gumuchian for creating tiny works of wearable art that remind of us of those delicious creations. The jewelry designer behind Gumuchian unveiled a collection of four waffle cone rings with gemstone scoops of ice cream at the Centurion jewelry show earlier this month as a nod to her childhood in Belgium.
While the cones are made in 18k gold, the ice cream is as follows: a cacholong center with diamond accents as vanilla ($6,000), an obsidian center with cognac diamonds as chocolate ($5,400), a rhodochrosite center with pink sapphires as strawberry ($4,400), and a chrysoprase center with tsavorites as pistachio ($4,800). Bonus: There’s talk of more styles to come, and I’m hoping that melting ice cream cone ear climbers will be in the mix.
