Collection Obsession: Danhier’s Evolution Is No Traditional Engagement Ring

Christophe Danhier Evolution collection rings

Obsession barely begins to accurately describe the ferocious admiration that I have for Christophe Danhier’s new collection. Dubbed an alternative to the traditional engagement ring, the Evolution collection glitters with rose-cut center stones, framed in multicolor halos of varying designs.

The general aesthetic familiar: a halo design that remains high at the top of many a bride’s wish list. But that’s where the similarities end. This look is bold, forward, and modern—it dares the bravest of brides to slip it onto their ring fingers. For those who may not see this finding a home on their left hand, it’s a killer right-hand ring for anyone.

Its out-of-this-world badass-ness that stems from the brushed metals and chunky settings is softened by the pastel colors of the gemstones, mixing aesthetics in a way that’s never too girly, but just enough so. Plush shades of pink, blue, green, and orange play starring roles in the audacious designs.

Speaking of otherworldliness, the rings are solidified in that sentiment with model names like Galaxy, Supernova, and Pulsar. The monikers are wholly appropriate, promising admiration that is truly universal.
