Citizen Watch America has appointed Barbara Garces as its first chief digital officer.
In this new role, Garces will develop and implement digital strategy for the company’s brands—Citizen, Bulova, Caravelle, Frederique Constant, and Alpina—with an eye to emerging technologies and platforms. She will report to Citizen Watch America president Jeffrey Cohen.
Prior to joining Citizen, Garces led digital teams at Ralph Lauren, Godiva Chocolatier, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Citizen said it’s investing significantly in upgrading its digital infrastructure, including systems that will streamline its back office management and add efficiency to its warehouse.
