CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, announced Dec. 23 that the 2011 CIBJO
Congress will be held March 14–16 in Porto, Portugal.
The Congress will be hosted by Associação de Ourivesaria e Relojoaria de Portugal–the
Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association–under the auspices of the
Commission for Coordination and Regional Development–North Portugal.
“We are grateful to the AORP and the CCDRN for the hosting and sponsoring
of the 2011 CIBJO Congress,” CIBJO president Gaetano Cavalieri said in
a statement. “Jewelry has played a key role in Porto’s history and culture
and Portugal’s jewelry industry continues to be concentrated in this
fascinating city.”
A website for the event will be launched in January.
