Christopher Designs has named Katherine “Katie” Hamian (pictured) its new director of marketing.
She has more than a decade’s worth of experience in the fine jewelry industry having previously worked for Nader Kash International and Beny Sofer.
Hamian will oversee creative for Christopher Designs, a New York City–based jewelry manufacturer and designer, including its brand image, social media, and marketing campaigns.
“It’s no secret that joining a jewelry brand during a worldwide pandemic and social crisis is no easy task,” said Hamian in a statement. “Once our office closed in March, our team actually began working closer than before.… We wanted to communicate that we’re all in this together, so we made clear, consistent, and compassionate communication a top priority.
“If there’s one positive thing that’s come out of this,” she added, “it’s why I love the jewelry industry. Jewelry has an amazing ability to spread love and happiness by playing a small part in life’s special moments. That’s something that will never change.”
Christopher Designs was founded by Christopher Slowinski, who serves as president and chief executive officer.
