Christie’s Important Jewels Sale Fetches More Than $14 Million

On Dec. 12, Christie’s London sale of Important Jewels earned more than $14 million dollars.
 
A natural pearl necklace highlighted the sale, selling for $948,103.

Other highlights of the auction include an Art Deco diamond and gem-set bracelet by Van Cleef & Arpels, which sold for $465,403, and a 18.47 ct. diamond ring, which fetched $446,095.
 
“Concluding the international jewelry sale season, the London auction saw strong results for signed and period jewels, diamonds, and colored gems,” Keith Penton, head of the jewelry department at Christie’s London, said in a statement.
