Share

On June 11, Christie’s will be auctioning a 10.2 ct. fancy intense pink diamond, set on a ring with an additional 12+ cts. t.w. diamonds, during its Magnificent Jewels New York sale.

Called the Eden Rose, the diamond is the most significant internally flawless round brilliant fancy intense pink diamond to appear at auction since the Martian Pink in 2012. It is estimated to bring in between $9 million and $12 million.

In pristine condition, the Eden Rose is classified as type IIa, representing the purest form of diamond and showcasing unparalleled clarity and radiance. The stone is clear of any secondary hues like gray, blue, or purple that are common in natural pink diamonds, and its round brilliant cut accentuates its natural radiance while preserving its integrity.

“Christie’s excels in presenting our collectors with the highest level of quality, exemplified by the Eden Rose,” Rahul Kadakia, international head of jewelry at Christie’s, said in a statement. “Given its rarity, we are anticipating significant interest from around the world…. The Eden Rose has never been offered at auction, and we are thrilled to be presenting a jewel of its unmatched caliber for the first time.”
