Christie’s Auctioning Kim Kardashian’s 20 Carat Engagement Ring, Reports Say

The 20 ct. t.w. diamond engagement ring that Kris Humphries gave to Kim Kardashian reportedly is being auctioned by Christie’s New York on Oct. 15.

Kardashian’s huge, Lorraine Schwartz-designed sparkler made headlines when she received it in 2011, and host Jay Leno even pretended to set it on fire when she appeared on The Tonight Show.

The ring’s listing can be seen here. Described as “impressive,” it is set with a rectangular-cut diamond, weighing approximately 16.21 carats, flanked on either side by trapeze-cut diamonds, each weighing approximately 1.80 carats. It is mounted in platinum and rests in a Lorraine Schwartz pink wood case.

That fits the media descriptions of Kardashian’s ring. Christie’s describes the seller as “a gentleman.”

“It is 100 percent the same ring,” a source told Us Weekly. “Kim …  silently gave it back over a year ago. And Kris waited until the divorce was final to sell it.”

While reports suggested the ring set Humphries back $2 million, its current estimated sale price is $300,000 to $500,000.
