For the 14th consecutive year, Chopard served as the official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival. With the privilege comes some distinct honors, including crafting the Palme d’Or, or trophy awarded to the best feature film in the Festival, hosting a Chopard Lounge during the Festival on the top floor of the Martinez Hotel, and several soirees, including a fundraising event for amfAR, a foundation dedicated to AIDS research. Of course, other opportunities exist in dressing celebrities in Chopard jewelry.
While a handful of other jewelers (Cartier, Boucheron, Baccarat, Neil Lane, and Amrapali) managed to snag a placement or two, the bulk of the jewels seen on the red carpet were courtesy of Chopard. Highlights of Chopard placement are as follows.
