Centurion adds Second Show in South Beach

Centurion Jewelry Show, which takes place in Tucson, Ariz., each year, has announced its first new event since its founding in 2001. Named “Centurion South Beach,” the new show will be an invitation-only event featuring about 50 collections at a Miami Beach luxury hotel located walking distance from the Lincoln Road area and the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Attendees and exhibitors will arrive the afternoon of Oct. 21 for three nights and two days of high ambiance networking, socializing, education, and buying from top-name designers and manufacturers. Collection Floor hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 22-23.

“This new event is meant to serve invited retail jewelers in winter/resort locations such as ski or beach vacation areas, who have a five-month busy season beginning in December,” said Centurion president Howard Hauben. “It is also geared to higher-end retail jewelers from all over the U.S. and abroad who would like to experience last-minute buying—in a beautiful setting—from top designers and manufacturers before the Christmas 2007 season as well as for pre-Valentines Day.”

He added, “We have been gratified by the excellent response we have had from outstanding retail jewelers, designers and manufacturers for this first South Beach event,” said Hauben, who reported that exhibit space is already sold out with a growing waiting list.

Cocktail receptions will be held Oct. 21 and 22. The following day will include a dinner at a South Beach restaurant.

Breakfast seminar sessions, buffet lunches, and refreshment breaks will be served for all participants on the collection floor during buying hours.
