Celebrity Fundraiser Raises $5,000

DFAC 14k rose gold and yellow gold dog tag pendantDiamonds For A Cure said it will make a $5,000 donation Stand Up To Cancer based on the fundraising results of its pre-Oscar promotion.

Celebrities had the chance to guess the number of diamonds used to create the distinctive DFAC logo on display at the TMG Luxury Suite for 3-days prior to Oscars. Jason Kennedy (E! News), Stephanie Pratt (The Hills), and Elle Johnson (Sugar Creek) tied for the winning estimate. The $5,000 donation will be placed in their names.

The correct number of diamonds in the sparkling DFAC logo was 320.

The winning trio beat out several other celebrity contestants, including Samantha Harris (Dancing With The Stars), Christine Moore (90210), and Sofia Milos (CSI: Miami).

Participating celebrities received symbolic DFAC 14k rose gold and yellow gold dog tag pendants (pictured).

“I am delighted so many celebrities participated in the DFAC™ promotion,” said Neda Behnam, Breast Cancer Survivor and chief executive officer of Diamonds For A Cure “I am surprised that three participants were all correct. It must be that old Hollywood magic at work.”
