Jewelry and watches were among the gifts that presenters and other celebrities received during the recently held Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, held at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles and televised Sunday, Feb. 22 on Turner Network Television (TNT).
The “Presenter Gift baskets” contained 91 items, including designer popcorn, free Lasik procedures, and a four-night stay at a world-class resort, were handed to celebrities during rehearsals and the night of the awards show. Among the items in the baskets were:
* A limited-edition celebrity bracelet from Judith Ripka, www.judithripka.com.
* A unisex alligator band watch from Swiss Watch International, www.swisswatchintl.com.
* Diamond heart pendants, which were also personally given to Charlize Theron and her mother, from Leon’s Fine Jewelry, www.haytayan.com.
Among the other stars at the show who received gift baskets, were Renée Zellweger, Andie MacDowell, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Kiefer Sutherland.
The baskets were handed to performers backstage in a custom-designed “celebrity retreat.” The gift baskets and retreat were created by Backstage Creations, Santa Monica, Calif., which provides up-and-coming designers the exclusive opportunity to personally introduce their products and services to celebrities at industry honors, including the People’s Choice Awards, Essence Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.
