Cartier North America names new executive management team

Cartier North America has a new executive management team, with the addition of two top executives, announced Sept. 21. They are Edward Wright as senior vice president of retail and Martin Gatins as senior vice president of the wholesale division. Wright and Gatins join Olivier Stip, senior vice president of marketing and communications, to complete the management team.

Wright had been president of the luxury watch brand Baume & Mercier since January 2002. Wright will now oversee all retail operations for Cartier North America.

Gatins has been with Cartier since 1992, starting as director of the eyewear division for Latin America. He rose to be assistant vice president of eyewear for North America and most recently, was vice president of the wholesale division. He is responsible for sales and distribution of watches, eyewear, writing instruments, stationery, leatherwoods, and accessories in the United States and Canada.

Wright and Gatins will work with Olivier Stip, senior vice president of marketing and communications for Cartier North America. Stip joined Cartier International in Paris in 1987. He also held management positions at Piaget in Switzerland prior to joining Cartier North America in 2002.

All three report directly to Frédéric de Narp, president and chief executive officer of Cartier North America. Together, Narp said, “They comprise one of the strongest teams in the jewelry and watch industry. With their expertise and insight we will continue to position Cartier North America as a leader in the luxury sector and achieve the maximum potential for the brand.”
