Anthony Capuano Retires from Jewelers Board of Trade

Anthony J. Capuano (pictured) is retiring as president of the Jewelers Board of Trade, said a statement from the group.

Richard Weisenfeld will continue in his role as acting president of the Providence, R.I., group. Weisenfeld is a veteran sales executive who has worked for Riva Precision Manufacturing, Pranda, Filk, and Bel-Oro.

Capuano has been involved with the JBT for 17 years, beginning as a board director in 2000. He was first named president in April 2016, replacing longtime president and CEO Dion Kenyon, who announced her retirement the prior year.

Prior to joining JBT, he served as vice president and senior relationship manager for HSBC Bank, where he led business development for the bank’s diamond and jewelry portfolio for the New York market. He is also a member the International Precious Metals Institute, Providence Jewelers Club, and Boston Jewelers Club.

“We would like to thank Tony for his service to the Jewelers Board of Trade and the jewelry industry,” says Todd Wolleman, JBT chairman, in the statement. “Tony charted a legacy for the organization that will benefit JBT for many years to come.”
