California Jeweler Bound and Robbed

Two unarmed men stole about $30,000 in cash from a jewelry store in Laguna Niguel, Calif., according to media reports.

Police said the hold-up happened about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Pacific Park Jewelers, reports CBS 2 television news station in Los Angeles.

Police said the door was still unlocked and the safe was open when the suspects forced the victim into a back room, taped him to a chair and stole all the jewelry from the safe and displays, and reports the Orange County Register. The robbers also took the business’ surveillance recording.

One of the robbers pretended to have a gun in his pocket, according to the television station.

Both robbers were described as Latinos in their early 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with short hair in a buzz-cut. One wore a red jacket and the other a white jacket. No vehicle was seen.
