The Warner Co. Jewelers, a 144-year old, Fresno, Calif.-based jeweler, filed for Chapter 11 on Sept. 20, court records show.
The company did not return a call from JCK, but CEO Dan Wolfe told the Fresno Bee that the company intends to remain open.
“We plan to get through the holiday season, to have a great Christmas season, and pay off as much debt as possible and start the new year fresh,” Wolfe was quoted as saying.
