Buxbaum Jewelry Advisors will auction the entire wholesale inventory of a prominent estate jewelry house.
The 2,000-piece collection features jewelry by companies including Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Harry Winston, and Bulgari. The auction will also include a selection of period jewelry, ranging from cultured pearls to Art Deco platinum and diamond bracelets. A viewing for qualified bidders will be held through March 26 in New York City. The “Dutch-style” auction (when bids start high and go lower, in reverse compared to a traditional auction) will take place as soon as bidders have reviewed the collection.
“This collection has never been seen in its entirety in the marketplace and offers an opportunity for a once in a lifetime acquisition,” Stevan Buxbaum, president of the firm, said in a statement.
