Augusta National is a place that treats tradition like a holy commandment and a very specific shade of green like a state religion. But as the 2026 Masters kicks off this week, golfer Bubba Watson is showing that if you have two Green Jackets in the closet, you can pretty much wear whatever you want on your wrist.
This year, it’s the Richard Mille RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson. Priced at roughly $2.5 million—though secondary-market listings have recently flirted with a $2.9 million range—the watch is the fourth in the partnership branded with the golfer’s name, limited to just 50 pieces.
When the design was released in 2022, Watson told a sports publication: “I have been pushing Richard for a pink watch for 10 years, and here it is!” In another interview, he explained, “Pink, to me, is about giving, about charity. My pink driver that I play golf with has helped me raise millions of dollars for charity.”
This year, it also pairs particularly well with his new azalea-adorned driver, a tribute to the flower the Augusta is famous for.
Wearing a tourbillon while swinging a golf club at 120 mph might seem like a great way to turn a technical feat into a bag of expensive confetti. But the RM 38-02 is built like a tank in a tutu. Its base plate is crafted from carbon TPT, and its asymmetrical case uses layers of pink and white quartz TPT. This is a watch designed specifically to withstand the G-forces of Watson’s massive drive.
Though the industry often scoffs at this type of unapologetic promotion in sports, Mille has hit on something different here. Most luxury brands are content to sit in a VIP box, but Watson’s watch is actually in the pine straw with him. It’s a $2.5 million bet that horology can handle the hustle. Let’s see if Watson can deliver too.
