It’s unbelievable how quickly JCK Las Vegas flew by this year, but I’m returning with so many new and exciting designers, suppliers, and definitely jewels, to tell you about. One of the new brands is Marli, whose Prestige booth was chock-full of so much sparkle and plenty of edge, just the way I like it. Right in the front case, where the company showcased its “cocktail hour” jewels, was this ear cuff. Dubbed the Avventura, the piece is crafted in 18k white gold and features a cascading chandelier of 3 cts. t.w. diamonds. The cuff comes with a halo-style stud earring for each ear, which locks into the stud for maximum security (because not every woman has the same shape ear to guarantee that the stud will stay perfectly in place). The newcomer, based in New York, designs its pieces for the independent, self-purchasing woman, which must be why everything in the showcase is just so mega fierce.
