Britt’s Pick: Rahaminov’s Pink Diamond Ring

Share

I mean, come on.

Of course I have words to describe the perfect-for-Barbie icon that is Rahaminov’s pink diamond ring, but are they really necessary?

Don’t answer that—I live for this job, where I get to rattle on about beautiful jewels and their backstories. And what’s a backstory without any words? You don’t need me to tell you that Rahaminov’s two-stone ring is a beauty, with its pink diamonds and blushing rose gold, framed in more pink diamonds and a cheek-to-cheek-dancing setting—that’s obvious.

What might be valuable to know, particularly for retailers wondering if investing in pink diamond jewelry is a wise move, is that customers do seem to be feeling them, and it’s not just because the Barbie movie is causing a pink effect.

“We have definitely seen an increase in demand for pink diamonds,” says Melanie Goldfiner Goldberg, director of sales and marketing for Rahaminov. “Pink diamonds are only found in a few mines around the world, and the supply of high-quality pink diamonds is limited. This exclusivity has made pink diamonds extremely sought after by collectors, investors, and individuals who want to own something truly unique and special.

“There has been a growing awareness and appreciation for colored diamonds in general,” she says. “As people become more educated about the different types of diamonds and their unique characteristics, they are seeking out diamonds that are not just colorless but also come in a range of natural hues, including pink.”

The story behind this ring? “It’s very special,” Melanie says. “Pink diamonds are incredibly rare and valuable, and finding two pink diamonds with the same color hue is highly unusual. We knew we had to create this one-of-a-kind ring, as the diamonds truly belonged together. The cushion and pear cuts were chosen to create a sense of balance and harmony in the design. The result is a stunning bypass ring that showcases the natural beauty and rarity of two exquisite pink diamonds.”
