Britt’s Pick: Oscar Heyman’s Pantone-Predicting Necklace

Either the brilliant minds at Oscar Heyman have a crystal ball, or just, ya know, good taste. Perhaps it’s both, as this stellar necklace, in bright pops of pink and blue, was in the works over the summer—long before Rose Quartz and Serenity were declared the hues of 2016. The platinum beauty is handcrafted with more than 98 cts. aquamarine, more than 26 cts. pink sapphires, and 5.3 cts. blue sapphires. The colors are soft and sweet, but a shrinking violet, this is not. Though it is rather floral in nature: The mix of marquise and round shapes evoke a wreath worthy of springtime. I don’t have to tell you that a piece like this goes far beyond any color trend, but for 2016, it sure is apropos.
