If it’s got black rhodium, chances are, I like it. But this is an Omi Privé piece, and naturally, the draw doesn’t end there. Every facet of this ring is taken care of, from the sapphire-lined split shank to a double halo of sapphires and diamonds. A 3.29 ct. cushion-cut sapphire is the star of this ring, held in four double-prongs—blackened, of course. The look is moody and mystic, like a storm is brewing, but the sky is so beautiful you can’t look away. Omi is known for its exquisite design and as of late has been branching out into new gemstones and styles, keeping those of us watching on our toes. The sapphires are a mainstay, but it’s not often I see the house do a piece all in blackened metal. I love the black rhodium so much, this piece stood out the most from the entire batch of new products (see them here), and that collection contains a pretty killer spessartite ring, among others. I’ll leave it to you to decide which of those strikes your fancy, but one thing is for sure: we can always count on Omi Privé to dazzle us with new jewels to fall in love with!
