Britt’s Pick: Lito’s Two-Tone Infinite Earrings

Share

Two-tone jewels are huge right now, especially those in gold and sterling silver—a style that offers a great look without having to go all in on gold for price.

These earrings from Athens, Greece–based jeweler Lito are two-tone but in a less-often-seen combination of metals—yellow gold and rose gold—that I find utterly irresistible.

It’s not that you don’t ever see rose and yellow together, but often they’re in a tricolor situation, with a white metal in there too. What I love about the rose and yellow gold mix is that it doesn’t make a huge contrast. The differences are still there, just more subtle, like expertly done dimensional highlights or a gem that changes color slightly in the sun.

These Lito earrings are part of a collection named Infinite, based on the idea that infinite shapes are possible. The earrings are asymmetrical: No two shapes on this pair are alike, and the pattern of rose and yellow varies on each ear as well.

“I love the way the earrings attract the light when being worn. The movement is like they are dancing,” says brand founder Lito Karakostanoglou. “I wanted to design a pair of earrings that would look amazing with every outfit, and these do because they don’t have colored gems on them, only colors of gold—yellow and pink.

“Each earring has a very subtle difference. You barely see it, but it’s still there and makes a difference. Everything is in the detail. On the back of the earrings are letters and numbers in each shape. It’s like there is a secret code written on the back.”

Lito offers a number of similar designs in the Infinite collection, from earrings pavé-set with diamonds to a super covetable matching choker necklace that mimics the pattern of shapes and alternating gold.
